PTDI Exported NC212i Aircraft to Thailand Once Again

BANDUNG - PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) once again exported one NC212i aircraft to the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) of Thailand. This shipment, became the second after last October PTDI sent the same plane to Thailand. The ferry flight activity which coincided with Heroes' Day was carried out from the Hanggar Delivery Center of PTDI Jalan Pajajaran No. 154 Bandung. The plane will head for Nakhon Sawan Air Base Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, which is scheduled to arrive on November 11, 2019.

The NC212i aircraft delivered today completes the contract to procure two NC212i aircraft between PTDI and A.I.C.E. Enterprises (Thai) Co., Ltd. with end users of the Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) of Thailand. The second NC212i airplane ferry flight was delivered faster in a month, so the schedule is according to the contract, December 2019, "said PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) Corporate Communications & Promotion Manager Adi Prastowo in his press release on Sunday (11/10/2019).

For today's shipment, a total of two NC212i aircraft have been sent to the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) of Thailand. This NC212i aircraft can be used as passenger transport, VIP, cargo, rain making, troop / paratroop transport and medical evacuation which can be installed alternately according to the operational needs of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperative (MOAC) of Thailand.

The NC212i aircraft has been fully worked on by PTDI, meaning that PTDI is the only aircraft industry in the world currently producing NC212i aircraft. To date, PTDI has managed to deliver 445 aircraft and helicopters, both domestic and foreign.

Especially for the ferry flight this time, Capt Zulda Hendra as Pilot In Command and Capt Billy Yudha Firmansyah as Copilot flew NC212i planes from Husein Sastranegara Airport, Bandung to Hang Nadim Airport, Batam. The next plane flew to Nakhon Sawan Air Base Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, as the final destination.

The NC212i aircraft will conduct Final Acceptance by the Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) of Thailand, on November 12, 2019. It is known, PTDI has succeeded in producing as many as 115 NC212 aircraft for domestic and overseas , out of a total of 586 units of the NC212 series aircraft population in the world.

The domestic operators that use NC212 series aircraft are the Indonesian Air Force, the Army, Navy, Police, BPPT, where the NC212 series aircraft is used for civil, military and Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA) transport aircraft. While foreign operators are Thailand for military transport and weather modification (rain making), the Philippines and Vietnam for military transport aircraft. (saz)
